The cost is your time,
camping, motel, food and drinks. The
ride (which is divided among the 5 chapters)
includes a visit to all of our 83 counties.
We stop in each county to pay tribute to our
veterans, past and present.
The support from the local communities we
visit each year is outstanding. We hope that this
ride will draw mor e attention every year.
The Freedom Ride is a run that
is done in conjunction with the R.A.M. on Saturday
morning..M. on Saturday
morning.
This ride is dedicated to our fallen brothers
and sisters, our POW/MIA’s.
We form up at the Loyal Riders clubhouse on
Snow Bowl Road, south of Houghton Lake on the west
side of the expressway, 127. We ride to the
Vietnam Veterans Memorial at Island Park in Mount
Pleasant.
We conduct a ceremony, which includes guest
speakers and speakers from FE.
We then ride back to the Loyal Riders for
food, drink, live music and the chance to reflect on
our very busy few days.
(The Freedom Ride is police escorted down
interstate 127, to the C&S Harley shop in Mount
Pleasant. We form up there and pick up new riders
then continue to Island Park for the ceremony)
In December of 2007, State Board members met with the Governor in
Escanaba to present a check in the amount of
$14,000.00 to be given to the Michigan Veterans
Trust Fund.
Being that this was our fourth year, our
total contribution has been $57,000.00, the largest
in the funds history.
This would not be possible without all of
you, the businesses, the individuals, local law
enforcement, County Sheriff’s, and State Police.
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
2008 is here, and again, we will be making our mark in this fine

This years R.A.M. will be August 6th thru
the 8th, the Freedom Ride will be on
August 9th.
